Went for my first formal interview this morning at AVA headquarter inside MND Tower. In case you didn't know, the position i am going for is a lab-based. There were 3 interviewers in the panel. Two guys and one lady. One young guy and one old man. The young guy was asking me questions that were related to lab equipments and techniques. I was stucked in one of the question. I forget what is real time PCR.. heck. The interviewers could tell straight away that i like field-based work and an interactive vocation would be more suitable for me. I told them frankly that i prefered field work. I don't want to pretend that i like a lab based job. All in all, it was fun talking with them. I like all the attention i get cos I am an attention-seeker by nature. (Yeah, i am even though i don't show it.) I was a bit nervous at the beginning but my words began to flow smoothly after that. I was thankful that i could speaked without any obvious breaks in my sentences. Really thank God. Amen.
It was also the first time that i wore trousers..haha. I don't usually wear formal clothes, or rather a complete set of formal wear. My friend just couldn't believe that i could get by my entire 4 yrs in NUS without wearing anything formal for my presentations. Yea...i am the living proof. I do things my way..
I went for the second interview in the afternoon to a local orchid nursery. The interview was more informal this time. It was more like a chatting session than anything else. Haha.
I spent alot on cab fare today...took 4 cabs.
