robin & jan flew back to melbourne yesterday. had spent some great memorable time with them during their vacation here. going to miss them. all the best for your studies both of you!

went to celebrate ah beng's 26th birthday on the 23rd at tea chapter with meishan, shuyi and janice. the place was quite interesting. and yea...they served many different kinds of chinese teas. the nice tea chapter waiter taught us how to brew chinese tea correctly and what were the functions of the instruments that were involved in the process. quite troublesome but oh well, cultured stuffs are like that.

watched "the letters of iwo jima" on the 24th with rong and did some post new year shopping together. the movie was good. the mystery of the dead japanese soldiers with their guts exploding all over the place was solved. overall, i prefer this movie than "flags of our fathers" not because of the exploded guts but the acting of the asian actors. they were really good. and yup, had a good time spent with rong. =)
