the top picture shows a frond of a fern. Ferns are the simpliest of all vascular plants after the mosses and liverworts. Yet the frond is still a neat piece of work. ferns seemed to be popping out of everywhere in my pots.

the bottom picture shows a rosette of leaves that belonged to a echeveria hybrid. On the contrary, the leaves seemed to be geometrically simpler to the untrained eye.
