met up with my cousin, jason, on saturday. we went to marina square shopping centre for lunch. i had a po piah while he ate chicken laksa. it was the first time i went to the ms foodcourt. the foodcourt has a nice view of the esplanade as well as the skyscrapers of the central business district. after lunch we went to walk around inside ms before going to suntec city and finally bugis junction. my cousin likes figurines, so we went to quite a few of those shops selling them.

from bugis junction, we took a train down to queenstown. my cousin went to meet his gf who was having attachment at alexandra hospital while i waited for zhigang and meishan. zhigang was having a throat infection. he looked like he wasn't in a good mood. but after he got into the car and we chatted, he began to sound happier. later, i brought both of them to queenstown hawker centre for dinner. we had fried dumplings, spicy and sour soup and half a chicken. a satisfying meal.
meishan brought us to villa bali at malan road. near the old building of my former sch, SAJC. i never expect the place to be so beautiful. the place is nicely done up with tropical ornamental plants and miniature waterfalls. there were tables set up under individual huts which give them an exclusive feel. the atmosphere is great. zhigang introduced me to a drink called mojito (the "j" is pronounced with a "h" sound, so it sounds like mohito). check out this cool website of the drink here. the drink contains mint leaves which makes it taste very minty. the limes give it a refreshing effect. we ordered a shisha pipe. so i sort of tried "smoking". i just found out it contains tobacco. oh great. i was self-amused by blowing out the smoke from the mouth and nostrils. it feels like i am smoking. anyway my friends said that i am a closeted "devil". thank you.
after villa bali, we went to zhigang's home to look at his fish and to take a torchlight for our night exploration later at the khatib bongsu forest. meishan drove her car inside the forest. we walked some distance from our car and saw a durian tree. bascially we just walked and walked and walked. there weren't alot of animals, mainly some birds with brownish plumage. we returned to our car and drove further in. we came to an isolated and ulu fishing place where there were some other people fishing. i can't imagine there is actually such a place. from the ulu fishing place, we went to yishun street 22 to have prata. by the time i reached home, it was 4am. tried.
