It's time to continue what i did for my backpack trip in May...
This is a market in Siem Reap, also known as Psar Chaa.

These were the souvenirs that were sold at one of the stalls. As you can see, there were many buddhist statues and figurines. Some of these figurines are Asparas, also known as sky-dancers. They are suppose to be good spirits. The Cambodians seemed to love making these things alot.
The picture below shows the most happening place in Siem Reap during daytime and evening time. This place is called Bar Street. As its name suggests, many bars and restaurants lined the street on both sides. A lot of tourists who stayed around the area came here to hang out in the evening once the sweltering hot sun sets.
The picture above shows a street nearby at evening time.
Anyway, the main highlight of going to Siem Reap is to visit Angkor Wat! Angkor was the ancient capital of Cambodia. The temple is an amazing piece of artwork. I was impressed by the intricate details on the stones that were carved by ancient artisans nearly 600 years ago. Everything inside the temple is carved by hands using simple tools i think. The picture below shows our tuk tuk driver. We took a tuk tuk from the town area to the temple. Haha.
Before one enters the main complex of the temple. You have to cross this bridge like structure. And by the way, the entire Angkor Wat is surrounded by a body of water.
Below is a picture showing the arch as we enter into the main temple complex.

Above: One of the tower inside the temple. Below: Another tower...haha. I like this picture because there's a bird at the top right hand corner.
Above: The most beautiful temple in the world! Below: The interior of the temple. Can you spot a girl? Use her body size as a gauge to how huge the structure is.
