Watched Jarhead with MR yesterday. Before the show, we went to a Canadian university fair at four seasons hotel to check out some schools. Never knew the cost of living in Canada is so affordable. Attractive option to study there if there's an opportunity.

Jarhead was a good movie. The storyline was great. An autobiography of a soldier Swoff. More of a story telling plot than actions flick which makes it different from other war movies. I appreciate the show because i went through NS. Missed my platoon mates. Though i disliked what i went through then. There were times when it was damn tiring during outfield missions. Still can't imagine not bathing for 5 days. Sleeping directly on soil with creepy crawlies, camo on my face, combat rations, abrasions at sensitive areas... Can send shivers down my spine thinking about those things now. It was my interesting ah beng platoonmates that made the missions more fun and endurable.

I just received my reservist letter... gg back to the smoking chalet again in July.
